“Collage” was originally a French word derived from the word coller, meaning “to paste.” The technique of collage involves layering, pasting or otherwise adhering, and piecing. This exhibition features the work of Joan Schulze, Fran Skiles, Barbara Lee Smith, Bob Adams and Luanne Rimel. Each artist utilizes the collage media to alter or enhance their fabrics and papers with various surface design techniques including dyes, paints, image transfers, silk screen and digital technology.
