About the Craft Alliance Exhibition Gallery
The Craft Alliance Exhibition Gallery features the one-of-a-kind
work of contemporary craft artists in 6-8 themed exhibitions per year.
Professional curators are selected to identify themes relevant to contemporary
craft, and create exhibitions including artists whose work demonstrates
the highest quality, most powerful pieces being made today.
Each exhibition consists of 12-20 artists, both emerging and established
in their careers. Gallery talks by the curators are held at our openings
for the general public. Whenever possible, studio workshops accompany
the exhibitions.
Our Exhibition Gallery welcomes over 35,000 visitors per year, including
student groups of all ages. Our Exhibition Program allows us to educate
and inspire our community with fine contemporary craft of the highest
quality.
The Craft Alliance Exhibition Series is funded with
the support of the Regional Arts Commission, the Arts & Education
Council, the Whitaker Foundation, and the Missouri Arts Council, a
state agency.
