Mandala Family Day
February 9, 1-4pm
Ages 6 and up

A Mandala is a circular art form, usually full of pattern and decoration that have spiritual and ritual significance in Eastern cultures. They are used as a tool to assist in meditative reflection; they represent a belief, an idea, a dream, or a feeling. Examples of Mandalas can also be found in nature: sun flowers, snail shells, pine cones, rings in a tree trunk, your eyeballs, the solar system, even our own seasons go 'round in circles!

Join Craft Alliance for a family day art experience inspired by the current exhibition in the Delmar Loop gallery, Ken Botnick: Typographies. We will learn and discover from the artwork in the exhibition before we go upstairs to create our own mandala.

Cost: $2 per person
