Cassandre Glass was the first workshop specialized in glass sand casting in Quebec and has gained international attention since founding in 1995. This young artist enterprise offers unique glass creations designed especially for the home. Their glass art objects are produced in limited series. The ancient process of glass casting is a very impressive technique. First the glass is melted at 2,225 degrees Fahrenheit and poured into a mold formed in moist sand. Colors, which are powdered and put in the sand beforehand, appear as the glass cools and becomes transparent.
