Lisa Ceccorulli started making jewelry in a Connecticut high school craft class where she won her first award in 1975. After studying jewelry repair and working in the jewelry trade business she moved to Florida where the outdoor greenery inspired her Oxidized and Brushed Sterling Silver and 22 Karat Gold “3-5-7 Japanese Garden Collection.”
“3-5-7” is an idea from Ancient Japanese Gardens. The shapes of the jewelry resemble stepping stones used to make walkways through the landscape. The stones and some of the plants are arranged in groups of threes, fives and sevens. Today, some Buddhist Temples still have 3-5-7 gardens. The numbers have many meaning and indicate a good omen. Lisa likes to look at three, five, seven “as symbols of steps to contentment”
