Donna D’Aquino of Mt. Rainier, Maryland received her MFA from Kent State University in 2000. After teaching at the University level for a few years, she decided to focus on her business. She is a full-time studio metalsmith and has participated in exhibitions throughout the world. Donna’s jewelry is inspired by architecture, line and the act of drawing. The pieces are hand-fabricated using sterling silver, freshwater pearls, hematite, and epoxy resins. The artist’s goal is to create an interesting line of jewelry with an over-all appeal. Donna strives to create three-dimensional drawings for both the body and wall.
