George Peterson is a self-taught wood turner and sculptor who has been working professionally for over fifteen years. Known for his intuitive and spontaneous approach to process, Peterson shapes whole logs using chainsaws, hammers, chisels, fire and axes. When his bowls crack during the kiln drying process, Peterson stitches the crack with waxed linen, which creates a functional repair that is food safe.
