We have raised $625,000 toward our $1.1 million goal and have built a remarkable education facility in Grand Center (CAGC). It is critical that we reach this goal to insure that we are able to provide first-rate art programs to young people in the city.
The CAGC exhibition gallery gives us the ability, for the first time in our history, to showcase craft installation art and experimental approaches to the use of craft technique in the 1,400 square foot gallery that affords ample space for large-scale work and provides outstanding visibility to the broader community.
In addition to the Exhibition series, CAGC has two other components: outreach programming that includes studio classes, and an artist residency program. The residencies give the public and students in Craft Alliance's outreach and education programs the rare opportunity to watch artists at work and learn about the processes involved in creating studio craft art.
