Explore the beautiful interplay of printmaking and natural dyeing in this unique workshop focused on clay resist techniques and indigo dye. Participants will learn how to create bold, graphic designs by applying clay-based resists to fabric, which block the indigo dye and result in stunning high-contrast patterns.
You’ll experiment with hand-cut stencils, brushes, and stamps to apply your designs, then watch the magic unfold as your fabric is dipped in a traditional indigo vat. The clay resist washes away after dyeing, leaving behind striking white and blue motifs.
Perfect for fiber lovers, printmakers, and curious makers of all levels, this workshop combines ancient techniques with modern creativity to produce one-of-a-kind textiles.
