“A student told me that she was VERY frustrated that she couldn’t figure out how to get her glass bead to form. Her instructor was able to give her one on one help and reassure her progress. On the way home, she was so PROUD that she persevered and made it work. Craft Alliance is where students can experiment and test ideas without risk or judgment. That’s a rare and wonderful thing for kids today.”

"Craft Alliance gives kids a different way to win. Not all kids can get wins at sports events… [some] have different kinds of talent. They have something beautiful and amazing and wonderful to contribute to this world that doesn't have to be athletic. Craft Alliance is a place where they can see people just like them. That may not look exactly like them, but the heart, soul, and talents that these kids have are so aligned that it's just a beautiful thing. You can't make that up. We need more of that in the world. Everyone needs a place to belong."

"There is no other program like this that exists. There is nothing even close to this anywhere else. There is really a community focus at Craft Alliance. It's a great opportunity for the students to produce craft at this level. Sure, some schools will have programs that do painting or maybe small sculpture, but no one is delving into, you know, jewelry or wood or fiber with this age group. We are removing limits and seeing what the kids can accomplish."
