Class
Making a Cutting Board
Craft your own beautiful and functional cutting boards in this beginner-friendly woodworking class! Over six weeks, students will learn essential woodworking skills including measuring, cutting, gluing, sanding, and finishing hardwoods to create both edge-grain and end-grain cutting boards.
With guidance from an experienced instructor, you’ll explore woodshop safety, tool use (including planers, jointers, table saws, and sanders), and finishing techniques to enhance the natural beauty and durability of your boards. You’ll leave class with multiple completed pieces—perfect for your kitchen or as handmade gifts.
No prior woodworking experience is necessary. This is a great introduction to the tools and techniques of the wood studio.
