Rigid Heddle Weaving

Discover the colorful world of weaving in this beginner-friendly course focused on the rigid heddle loom—a versatile and accessible tool perfect for new weavers. In this six-week class, you’ll learn how to plan a project, warp the loom, and weave fabric using a variety of basic techniques.

With guidance from an experienced teaching artist, you’ll explore color, texture, and pattern as you create your own handwoven samples and a finished piece such as a scarf, wall hanging, or table runner. Along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of fiber properties, tension, and structure, and build the confidence to continue weaving on your own.

Perfect for anyone curious about fiber arts or looking to start a new creative hobby!
