Lauren is a creative metalsmith with 25 years of experience and a BFA in Metals from Missouri State University. As a small business owner and educator, she draws inspiration from the quiet beauty of nature, especially the hidden textures and forms found along riverbanks and untamed landscapes. Her work is rooted in the observation of natural organisms, plant structures, and indigenous adornment, which inform both her aesthetic and process. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted by hand, beginning with flat sheets of metal and wire, then transformed through embossing, stamping, and forming techniques that echo the delicate curves of leaves, petals, and insects. Adorned with natural gemstones and found objects, her designs reflect an intimate dialogue between the organic world and the art of metalwork.
