"In this hands-on, three-hour workshop, you’ll discover the art of papermaking and create your own beautiful handmade stationery! Learn the fundamentals of making paper from scratch, including how to prepare and pulp fibers, form sheets of paper, and add decorative elements to make each piece unique. Whether you're interested in crafting your own greeting cards, invitations, or simply want to create a personal stationery set, this workshop will introduce you to the creative and meditative process of handmade paper.
Using a variety of natural fibers and materials, you’ll learn the basics of forming paper sheets using a mold and deckle, the tools used to shape and press the pulp. We'll also explore ways to add textures, colors, and embellishments such as dried flowers, herbs, or even colored threads to give your paper that special touch. By the end of the workshop, you'll have a collection of handmade sheets, ready to be used for crafting your own personalized stationery.
This workshop is perfect for beginners and those who are looking to try their hand at a fun, sustainable art form. No prior experience with papermaking is required—just bring your creativity and a love for crafting!
