Description

This class is designed for intermediate to advanced students who are looking to deepen and refine their skills in centrifugal casting. In this course, students will learn to create vulcanized rubber molds, a technique that allows for the production of multiple wax models from a single mold. This method is essential for creating consistent, repeatable castings, making it ideal for students interested in casting multiples of their designs.

Students will have access to tools, casting grain, and essential supplies to complete their projects. Through hands-on instruction and practice, you'll master the process of centrifugal casting and elevate your work.

Prerequisite: Previous experience with casting techniques is recommended.

Safety Note: This course is for ages 16+. If you require special accommodation for this course, please contact grant.benoit@craftalliance.org. All necessary safety gear will be provided. Students must wear closed-toe shoes and natural fiber clothing, and long hair must be tied back for safety.
