Description

"In this beginner-friendly class, you'll dive into the world of tapestry weaving! Whether you're new to weaving or just looking to expand your creative skills, this class is perfect for you. You’ll learn the basics of weaving techniques as you create your own small tapestry on a simple frame loom.

Throughout the class, you’ll explore various weaving techniques such as plain weave, rya knots, and other decorative patterns. You’ll also experiment with different fibers and colors to create texture and depth in your design. By the end of the class, you'll have a finished piece to take home—a beautiful woven tapestry that can be displayed as art or used as a decorative accent.

This class is great for anyone looking to learn a new craft or explore the calming and creative process of weaving. No prior experience necessary—just bring your creativity, and we’ll guide you through every step!

Note: This course is for ages 16+. If you require special accommodation for this course, please contact grant.benoit@craftalliance.org. All materials included. Students should wear closed toed shoes."
