Bring your designs to life underfoot! In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the art of rug tufting using a tufting gun, yarn, and fabric to create their own colorful, textured piece.
Guided by an experienced fiber artist, you’ll learn the fundamentals of operating a tufting gun, stretching your backing cloth, and designing with line, shape, and color. Students will also explore finishing techniques like trimming-- Rugs will be glued and backed and ready for pick up a week later.

Discover the rich history and brilliant hues of cochineal, one of nature’s most celebrated dyes. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn to prepare and dye natural fibers with the vivid reds, pinks, and purples produced by this remarkable insect-based pigment.
Guided by an experienced fiber artist, you’ll explore the complete dyeing process—from fiber preparation and mordanting to dye extraction and color modification—experimenting with tone and texture to create a range of natural shades. Join us for a fun and focused sew-along as we learn to piece the Hurry Home quilt block! This workshop guides students step-by-step through cutting, assembling, and pressing techniques to create this charming block—perfect for quilts, wall hangings, or table runners.
Students will receive instructor demonstrations, helpful tips for accurate piecing, and plenty of hands-on time at the machine. Whether you’re new to quilting or an experienced maker, this class offers a relaxed space to learn new techniques and connect with fellow sewists.
