You'll learn how to measure, cut, and assemble a sturdy, hard-sided box with a fitted lid and closures—perfect for storing prints, journals, tools, or special keepsakes.
Using book board, decorative paper, and archival adhesives, students will explore techniques from the book arts world to build a clean, durable structure. The workshop covers precise measuring, scoring, gluing, and finishing details, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and creativity.
Each participant should bring two sheets of decorative paper (approx. 18"x24") that reflect their personal aesthetic for the outer cover and lining—handmade, marbled, or patterned papers are all welcome!
